Description: Weka Walks offers a total nature package combining walking experience, accommodation, home-cooked cuisine and warm Kiwi hospitality. The Walks are over Mt Huia Farm and Glen Tui Farm and include areas of pastureland and native bush. The major difference of this walk from most of the boutique New Zealand walks is that you stay in the same comfortable accommodation each night without the need to relocate. Single party bookings mean you can make up your own group and enjoy the full use of Hodd Cottage. Groups of up to 8 (depending on “couple configuration”) can be accommodated at Hodd Cottage.
We have an interesting variety of marked hiking trails offering a range of challenges and choices, with remarkable views across hill country farm land to native forests, sheer sandstone cliffs, mountains and rivers.
Comprehensive written track guides are provided, including flora identification sheets.
Location: [map here] 9 km East of State Highway 1 at Mangaweka. 2 hours South of Taupo and 3 hours North of Wellington.
Prices: See our website for details.
