Picton homestay accommodation

From Wellington, you have the choice of several ocean-going ferries. The trip takes about 3 hours, depending on your choice. Visit "Interislander" or "Bluebridge" websites for further details.

Picton has its own airport 7 kms away at Koromiko. This superbly scenic flight from Wellington takes 25 minutes and 'Sounds Air' offers a free shuttle service to and from the Marina Apartment. Larger aircraft fly from Wellington and Christchurch (both with International Airports) into Blenheim Airport some 30 kms away.

If you are travelling 'up' from Christchurch by car, the journey will take 4 hours easy driving, but beware, there are many points of interest and great views along the way that could slow you down a bit ! There are numerous coach trips available that follow either the east or west coast routes - they are both very scenic. Or you can take the Tranzrail 'Coastal Express' for a very easy and pleasant journey. Whatever mode you decide upon, we will be happy to meet you and bring you to your destination.
