Try a horseback experience over our 700 acre sheep and beef farm in beautiful Paradise Valley. Just 15 minutes from Rotorua, you can ride through pastures and native forest, enjoy breathtaking views and experience an unforgettable taste of rural New Zealand.

Our treks range in length from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours and are suitable for beginners, experienced riders and everyone in between. With a free 20 minute lesson prior to every trek, we make sure you are comfortable, confident and on a horse that suits you, before you leave the stables. We also have 15 or 30 minute pony rides for the kids.

You will take in spectacular panoramic views of Lake Rotorua, Mount Ngongotaha and stunning Paradise Valley, while on your treks. Over the summer months you can make the most of the beautiful evenings and take a twilight ride with us.

We offer great facilities for groups of all sizes, adults or children – whether, team building with colleagues, hosting a birthday party or just wanting to have a good time, we ensure you have an unforgettable time. With a BBQ area and kitchen facilities, transport available from the city, and fantastic staff we can cater for your needs.

Description: Experience the magnificent working farm while horse trekking over the rolling open spaces and through beautiful native forest. The panoramic views of Lake Rotorua and Mount Ngongataha are spectacular.

With a stable of over 80 horses, all ages and abilities are catered for. We give helpful instructions for the less experienced rider and helmets, boots and wet weather gear (if necessary) are provided.
Our rides range from 30 minutes to two hours plus for the more experienced riders. We offer excellent facilities for groups of all sizes. Our staff are very friendly and have lots of experience with horses. Our horses are very well looked after and live a happy, healthy life here with us.

We also offer excellent accommodation for singles families or groups. There will be camps held during the school holidays for children aged between 8 – 16 years old. Bring you child/children to come have some fun at the Farmhouse ranch. There will be many fun filled activities to enjoy including lots of horse riding, horse lessons, games, activities and much more.
