Eastender Horse Treks

Eastender Horse Treks, East CoastDescription: Many times Eastender Horse Treks and Eastender Backpackers are referred to as the real New Zealand experience. Situated at the tip of the East Coast on an unspoiled Maori owned farm we offer several riding circuits for individuals, families and groups. Around 25 horses cater for the beginner to the advanced rider. We do not ride in line, you ride your horse in freedom and to the level of your experience and confidence. It does not get much better than this!

The 2-hour Main Adventure takes you along the isolated beach which is covered with driftwood and into steep hills exposing stunning views. Other treks also include riding through streams and bush. For the real adventurous we offer an Overnight Camping Adventure* and Horse Riding Holiday Week*.

Visit the Backpackers, do a Horse Ride, make a Bone Carving*, enjoy a Hangi meal*, light the outside fire for a night under the stars and set your alarm to meet the sun at dawn!
