It’s a 5 minite drive south of Franz Josef Village on State Highway 6 and 25 minutes north of Fox Glacier Village and approximately 10 minutes to the Franz Josef Glacier. Close to lakes, rivers and native bush walks and lots of other activities around the Coast.
The house is self contained with one bedroom and can sleep 6. The bedroom has a queensize bed and there are 2 double pull out sofabeds in lounge. There is a multifuel fire in lounge and heater in bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over bath and fan heater in it also. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern facilities with pantry, fridge freezer, tea, coffee, SKY-TV, video/DVD, books, magazines and we have a range of DVD and videos which you can borrow from us. Washing machine with free powder.
The section is fully fenced with wonderful views of the Southern Alps and of native bush and our working farm.
Our playground is available also for kids to play on.
On The Farm: We can supply free range eggs for you from our chooks and you can get up close and personal to our dogs (Flick + Snowy) and goats (Lily and Paddi) and sheep (Dopey and Lambie and friends) and chooks and pigs. We have 280 dairy cows which you can possibly see getting milked (seasonal). Pyramid Farm, Charleston, West Coast Description: Pyramid farm is situated on the northern side of the Nile Valley at Charleston, a great base to explore the West Coast from. We are only 5 minutes to the caving adventure areas and the farm is centrally located to National Parks and other adventure areas of the Buller region.
The farm is organically run and 80% native rain forest. There are glow worms to be seen and lovely bush walks, and the beach is only a few minutes walk.

The Homestead Farm Stay Description: We invite you to our 120-year-old wooden Farm Homestead, set amongst mature oak trees in a rural setting on the bank of the Rough River in the province of Westland in the South Island of New Zealand.
We offer a self-contained two-room unit for your sole use. It is attached to the Farm Homestead and consists of the Original Stable Block completely refurbished, with new native timbers. All meals are provided.
There are five major rivers suitable for fishing all within a 15 minute drive from The Homestead, in addition to the river fishing directly on our property. Helicopter flights to upper reaches of the Rough River also are available direct from The Homestead. We can give you seven days of adventure - fully guided fishing in remote places, staying in musterers huts in an all inclusive package.
We have 10 quiet farm horses. No experience is needed, and all ages catered for. Treks are available from one hour to a full day along the banks of the Rough River -- beautiful scenery following old cattle and pack tracks through beech forest and river flats.
